Meridian could not use a public AI service. Its documents contain client records and advice that a regulator expects it to keep confidential, and the board was not willing to send that material to a third party. The alternative was to build the AI inside the building.
We deployed Smart RAG on the firm's own servers. Staff ask questions in plain English and get answers drawn from the firm's documents, each one carrying a citation back to the source. Drafting and summarising tasks run against the same store, so answers stay grounded in the firm's own material rather than the open web.
The deployment sits entirely inside the firm's network; no document ever leaves it. Rollout started with a pilot team, and training used the firm's own documents so staff could see straight away what the system would and would not do.
